When you create a Dandy Club account we store your username, display name, city (optional), profile photo (optional), and a securely hashed password. As you use the app we store the content you create: art diary entries, ratings, reviews, liked and saved artworks, artists and members you follow, private messages, and your Dandy AI conversations.
Your data is used solely to provide Dandy Club's features — your diary, your profile, social features, and personalised discovery. We do not sell your data, show advertising, or share your information with data brokers.
When you use Dandy AI, your questions and the relevant artwork image and metadata are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate responses. These requests are processed under the provider's API data policies and are not used to train their models.
Artwork information and images are provided by public museum APIs and open cultural archives, including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Cleveland Museum of Art, Statens Museum for Kunst, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Rijksmuseum, Europeana, and Wikimedia.
Account data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and never stored in plain text. Authentication tokens on your device are kept in the iOS Keychain.
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from You → Sign out & account → Delete Account inside the app. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
Dandy Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details.
